AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CLF-C02): Zero to Pass

CLF-C02 is the friendliest cloud exam I've ever taken. Two weeks, USD 100, 90 minutes, 65 questions. It's the cert managers, sales engineers, and career-switchers use to prove they understand AWS at a conceptual level. If you already have IT experience, you can pass this in a week - but don't skip it and jump to SAA if you're brand new to cloud.

Notice: NO hands-on scenarios. All conceptual. If you understand the AWS Shared Responsibility Model and can name what belongs to a Region vs Availability Zone vs Edge Location, you're 60% of the way there.

• Days 1–3: Cloud concepts, 6 pillars of Well-Architected, elasticity vs scalability
• Days 4–6: Core services at 30,000 feet - EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, IAM
• Days 7–8: Shared responsibility, IAM roles vs users, MFA, root account best practices
• Days 9–10: Pricing model, TCO, Savings Plans, Spot vs On-Demand vs Reserved
• Days 11–12: Support plans (Basic, Developer, Business, Enterprise) - memorize response times
• Days 13–14: Practice exams. Aim for 90%+ on Jon Bonso before booking

§The shared responsibility model - the one topic to nail

This appears in 8–12 questions. Memorize the split:

• AWS is responsible for: hardware, software running the cloud, facilities, edge locations, hypervisor
• You are responsible for: OS patches, network config, IAM, data encryption, customer data
• Managed services (RDS, DynamoDB, S3): AWS handles more, but you still own data and access

Honestly: only if you're a non-technical professional (PM, sales, marketing) moving into a cloud-adjacent role. For developers or IT admins, skip CCP and take SAA directly. Employers care about SAA more than CCP by a wide margin.

Can I take CCP online from home in Bangladesh?

Yes, via OnVUE. Reliable if your internet is stable. Otherwise use a Pearson VUE center in Dhaka.

How long is CCP valid?

Do I need programming for CCP?

No. Zero code required. It's a business-plus-concepts exam.
